Expressionism Inspired by Music

My results from this exercise were very interesting. Despite the fact that I listen to a wide variety of music I am very particular about the music that I like.

Due to my Hyperacusis some sounds that are normal for other people are physically painful for me. This was reflected in the third piece, which was based upon a Jazz song. The calm sounds of the music was cut across sharply by the painful sound of a trumpet, which is almost always a painful instrument for me to listen to.

The first song is one of heavy drumbeats and brass that will be forever associated with 2001: A Space Odyssey

The second was classical, with a strong main theme.

This was the Jazz piece.

The next song was a very soothing classical piece.

This last was a Funeral March by Wagner. I did not not know it was called that at the time I painted it, but the sombre background was the first impression I got from the song.
